D.C. Everest offers services to families and students experiencing homelessness through school-based programs and supports. Children and youth who meet the McKinney-Vento definition of homelessness have rights and are eligible for services. These services include: access to free school meals, free school supplies, school fee waivers, the right to remain enrolled in the school they attended prior to becoming homeless, and transportation to and from school.
Parents/guardians of children or unaccompanied youth experiencing homelessness should discuss the situation with the student’s School Social Worker or Morgan Hintz, District Homeless Liaison, at 715.846.2034 or email Morgan Hintz
